Fog (Chapter I)

from Lamentations by Skitchrist

/

about

Written September 2013.

lyrics

Self-Loathing creature of habit; pathetic display of half-life. Just begging for decay. Why have you built these walls, to stand alone outside? You act like it's different; like the gears have slipped, and no-one's there to see. Like pursuing potential in nothing is productive in urgent ways, and the key to mental resistance is to inevitably escape.
Shut down; evade to the fog.
The stages will always be empty; you're alone in this hate. You'll only collapse in time; best to leave well alone.
Embrace the feared unknown; shut down. Evade to the fog. I've lost all faith in these pages I've sketched the world on; would trade my lungs for a breath.
